Common Beko faults
What goes wrong with Beko dryers
Heat-pump drying slowly
Blocked filters and condenser are the most common cause. Clean them first, then call if drying is still slow.
Display messages
Write down any code or symbol on the display, plus the model number. It helps us bring the right part for your model.
Not starting
Door switches and child-lock settings can stop a Beko from starting. Check the lock indicator first.
Mostly compact and ventless
Beko dryers in Canada are mainly 24-inch front-load models built to stack with a Beko washer. Many are ventless heat-pump dryers, and some sister models from the same parent company list a 208 to 240 V supply rather than a regular wall outlet. A heat-pump dryer works like a small refrigerator in reverse: it warms the air, pulls moisture out over a cold coil and collects the water. That makes it efficient, but it also adds filters, a pump and a sealed refrigerant system to look after.
Care for Beko heat-pump models
Most slow-drying complaints on Beko heat-pump dryers start with lint. Clean the door filter after each load and the filter in front of the heat exchanger on the schedule in your manual, more often if you dry towels or pet bedding. Empty the water tank every cycle unless the drain hose is connected. Leave space around the unit so it can breathe, since a heat-pump dryer gives off warmth and needs room air. A cold or very hot laundry closet can also slow it down.
Repairs and booking
Beyond filters, the faults we look at on Beko dryers include door switches, drain pumps, float switches, fan motors and sensors. Problems inside the sealed heat-pump system need specialised diagnosis and may not be economical on every model. Beko parts are generally ordered by exact model and serial number, so please send both, plus a photo of the display or any lit warning icons. Check that the child lock is off before booking, since it can stop the dryer from starting.

Beko dryers usually have no error codes
Published Beko dryer code lists conflict with each other, so we do not list codes here rather than risk a wrong answer. Check the water-tank and filter warning symbols first, then call us with the model number and exactly what the display shows.

FAQ
Beko dryer repair — FAQ
Do you repair Beko gas and electric dryers?
Yes. We repair Beko electric, condenser & heat pump dryers across Calgary and nearby towns.
Where is the model number on my Beko dryer?
Usually on a sticker inside the door opening or on the back panel. Have it ready when you call — it helps us bring the right parts.
Is my Beko dryer worth repairing?
In most cases, yes. Common failures like fuses, heating elements, belts, rollers and sensors cost far less than a new dryer. If yours is not worth fixing, the technician will tell you honestly.
Is Beko the same company as Blomberg?
Both brands are owned by the same parent group, which is why their compact dryers look similar and share some design ideas. They are still separate model lines, so parts do not always interchange. We order parts by the exact model number on your dryer's label rather than assuming a Blomberg part will fit a Beko.
My Beko dryer runs but the clothes come out warm and damp. What should I check?
On a heat-pump model, clean the door filter and the heat exchanger filter, empty the water tank and make sure the room is not cold. Avoid overloading, since compact drums need space to tumble. If drying is still poor after a full cleaning, a fan, sensor or heat-pump fault is possible and needs a technician.
