What goes wrong with GE dryers
No heat
Electric GE dryers lose heating elements and thermal fuses; gas models lose igniters and gas valve coils. A blocked vent is often the root cause.
Squeaking drum
Worn drum slides or bearings and idler pulleys cause squeaks and scraping on many GE models. We replace the worn parts as a set.
Blocked vent warning
Newer GE dryers can sense restricted exhaust and show a vent warning. Clean the vent run and the warning usually clears.
