Three things to try for any dryer code
1. Reset the power
Unplug the dryer or turn its breaker off for five minutes, then back on. Electric dryers use a double breaker — make sure both halves are on.
2. Clean the lint screen and check the vent
Restricted airflow causes more dryer codes than any part failure. Clean the screen, and check outside that the vent flap opens and air blows out strongly.
3. Write down the exact code
Note every character, including spaces and dashes (F3 E1 is different from F31). Take a photo of the model sticker. That lets us bring the right part.
Code keeps coming back?
That means a real fault — a sensor, heater, motor, switch or control board. We test the part rather than guessing, and quote you before replacing anything.

FAQ
Dryer error code FAQ
Why is my dryer showing an error code?
The control board has detected something outside its normal range — a sensor reading, a heater that never warms up, a door that reads as open, or restricted airflow. The code tells a technician where to start.
Can I clear a dryer error code myself?
Many codes clear when you unplug the dryer (or switch off the breaker) for a few minutes. If the code comes back, the fault is real and needs fixing.
Which error codes can I fix myself?
Airflow codes (such as AF, FLO, d80/d90/d95, "Check vent") often clear after you clean the lint screen and vent. Door codes may be a latch that is not closing. Anything about heaters, thermistors, motors or boards needs a technician.
Do error codes mean the same thing on every model?
No. Codes vary between brands, model lines and years. Use this page as a guide, and tell us exactly what your display shows when you call.
Can't clear the code?
Tell us the brand, model and code. We'll diagnose it and give you a price before any repair.
