What goes wrong with Hisense dryers
Heat-pump dryers need clean filters
A ventless heat-pump dryer pushes air through lint filters and a heat exchanger. When those clog, drying slows down. Clean them first, then call us if it is still slow.
F-codes on the display
Hisense shows F-codes for motor, voltage, board-communication and sensor faults. Several board codes clear after a power reset. If they come back, call for service.
Water tank and drain
Ventless dryers collect water in a tank or pump it to a drain. A full tank or kinked drain hose will stop the cycle.
About the brand
Hisense in Canadian homes
Hisense launched its laundry pair in Canada in 2025, and its 24-inch ventless heat-pump dryer is sold at Best Buy, Costco, The Brick and other Canadian retailers. Hisense also owns the Gorenje and Asko brands.

Hisense dryer error codes — what they mean
Codes and wording vary between models and years. Use this as a guide, and tell us exactly what your display shows when you call.
| Code | What it means | Likely cause | Who fixes it |
|---|---|---|---|
| F06 | Motor stall. | Drum motor locked or failed. | Technician |
| F09 | Supply voltage too high or too low. | Household voltage out of range — check the breaker; wiring needs an electrician. | Try first |
| F10 | Motor phase fault. | Motor winding or motor drive fault. | Technician |
| F20 | Display board / Wi-Fi communication fault. | Wi-Fi module or display board. | Technician |
| F21 | Display panel and power board not communicating. | Board glitch — reset the power; if it returns, call for service. | Try first |
| F22 | Display, motor and power boards not communicating. | Board glitch — reset the power; if it returns, call for service. | Try first |
| F50 / F51 | Abnormal sensor reading. | Faulty sensor or sensor wiring. | Technician |
These codes are from the Hisense Canada owner's manual for the DH5S452BW. For F09 (voltage), check the breaker first; if the household voltage itself is wrong, that needs an electrician.
