Common Blomberg faults
What goes wrong with Blomberg dryers
Ventless dryer not drying
Clean the lint filter, condenser filter and water container. If it still will not dry, the condenser, fan or pump may need service.
Display messages
Blomberg and Beko share their parent company's controls. Note any symbol or message on the display and the model number when you call.
Water container issues
Pump and float switch faults can stop a condenser dryer mid-cycle.
Compact European design
Blomberg dryers sold in Canada are 24-inch compact machines designed for stacking with a matching washer. The range has included vented models that run on a 240 V circuit and exhaust through a duct, and ventless heat-pump models that recycle warm air through a heat exchanger and collect the water. Many Blomberg dryers use sensor drying, ending the cycle when the clothes reach the selected dryness. Because these are stacked units in tight closets, access and the stacking kit matter when planning a repair.
Looking after a Blomberg heat-pump dryer
A heat-pump Blomberg needs more routine care than a vented dryer. Clean the door lint filter after every load and check the second filter in front of the heat exchanger regularly, rinsing it when it looks coated. If the dryer is not plumbed to a drain, empty the water container after each cycle. Lint that gets past the filters slowly coats the heat exchanger fins, and drying times creep up. Follow the owner's manual for cleaning steps, and never use sharp tools on the fins.
Faults and parts
When a Blomberg heat-pump dryer stops drying well, the cause is usually clogged filters or a coated heat exchanger, then less often a fan, pump or compressor fault. On vented models we see the usual heater, thermostat and airflow problems. Blomberg is owned by the same group as Beko, and some parts are shared, but many are model-specific and may need to be ordered. Have the full model and serial number ready, and note any warning symbols lit on the display.

Blomberg dryers usually have no error codes
We could not find a published, reliable list of Blomberg dryer codes, so we do not list any here rather than guess. Most Blomberg heat-pump dryers show warning symbols for a full water tank and a dirty filter — check those first, then call us with the model number and what the display shows.

FAQ
Blomberg dryer repair — FAQ
Do you repair Blomberg gas and electric dryers?
Yes. We repair Blomberg electric, condenser & heat pump dryers across Calgary and nearby towns.
Where is the model number on my Blomberg dryer?
Usually on a sticker inside the door opening or on the back panel. Have it ready when you call — it helps us bring the right parts.
Is my Blomberg dryer worth repairing?
In most cases, yes. Common failures like fuses, heating elements, belts, rollers and sensors cost far less than a new dryer. If yours is not worth fixing, the technician will tell you honestly.
Why does my Blomberg heat-pump dryer take so much longer than my old dryer?
Heat-pump dryers work at lower temperatures, so cycles are longer by design. That is normal. What is not normal is a cycle that keeps getting longer over weeks. That usually means the filters or heat exchanger are clogged. Clean both filters and empty the water container, then call us if drying times do not improve.
Can my Blomberg dryer drain to a pipe instead of the water container?
Many Blomberg ventless dryers come with a drain hose that can be routed to a standpipe or sink, so you never empty the container. The hose must not be kinked or raised too high. Check your owner's manual for the correct routing. If the dryer still stops with a full-tank warning, the pump or float may need service.
